Notes: Marvin Smith's Stomper becomes the second truck to hit the wall in Chicago, following Rod Litzau's USA-1, the previous day. While Smith was able to continue, Litzau was out for this event. David Morris' Equalizer also lost control momentarily, but was able to avoid hitting the wall in the shut-down area. Dennis Anderson's Grave Digger continued to look unstoppable, winning his 3rd event of the first 4. Anderson attributes this to the change mandated by TNT following the Houston events, in which the Rodak motor he was using was outlawed.
