Date:
Track: Indoors, with 3 different parts: 1. Pulling track 200ft. long. 2. A set of 12 cars. 3. A set of 12 cars.
Lineup: Fred Shafer (Bearfoot III), Rich Hooser (Bigfoot IV)
Results:
Sled Pull: Shafer 10.21 Hooser 9.43
Car Dragrace: Shafer 7.91 Hooser 6.75
Head-to-Head Leap: Hooser def. Shafer
Notes: This was billed as a Cheverolet vs. Ford show. The whole idea was to see which company could come out on top. It seems obvious that Bob Chandler took this seriously, as they brought in Bigfoot IV, their number 1 truck at the time, even though Bigfoot was at a 300 hp disadvantage. Fred Shafer and Bearfoot had problems throughout the entire event, though nothing that should have affected the truck's performance too much.

This was a "Triple Crown of Motorsports" event promoted by the USHRA. During the broadcast Larry Huffman claims Ford and Chevrolet handpicked Bigfoot and Bearfoot to battle, presumably to decide which truck really was "King of the Monster Trucks"
