Event Notes:
-This event was televised on TNN's Motor Madness.
-In this event, trucks which had won "King of the Hill" (highest accumulated points total in obstacle-course & straight-line racing) at a previous event in the 1997 season would have a "bye" into the second round.
-The "Young Gun" truck was also in attendance, but did not compete due to a blown engine. Young Gun was paired with Equalizer in the first round, but due to the breakage, Equalizer had a free pass to the second round in both divisions of racing.
-In his second round obstacle-course race against Snake Bite, Samson broke an oil filter.
-In the straight-line semi-final race between Bulldozer and Snake Bite, Bulldozer made a 180-degree turn at the end of the track, trying to stop before the wall.
-In the final round of the straight-line racing, Snake Bite rode a wheelie from the starting line to the end of the crush car set.
-This event also featured Robosaurus, Pro Arena Truck racing (won by Jim Hopkins), and a demolition derby (won by Robert Cox). Joe Brozovich was awarded the national points championship in the Pro Arena Trucks at this event.
