-The Wrecker's qualifying time was 3.50, not 4.50.
-Kid's Stuff, driven by Norman Groguen, made a qualifying pass - it was unaired and was somewhere in the 4-second area.
-Dennis Anderson's brother Les drove Grave Digger II. Dennis had already moved on to Grave Digger III by this point.

Notes:
-Mike Vaters punctured both bags on the left side of his four-link airbag suspension during qualifying
-Grave Digger broke its rear axle in the semifinals and only had front wheel drive in the final round
