Notes: This was the last event TNT ever ran a 3-way race at. This was also the final TNT appearance for Doug Spanier's Master of Disaster, Arlene Edd's Fanatic, Jim Miller's Barbarian and Pablo Cruz' Tuff-E-Nuff. This event marked the debut for Kurt Fisher's Micro Machines truck. The Breen Brothers' first crack at a modern race truck, Micro Machines, would prove to be disappointing considering all of the hype it garnered, never really making an impact. During qualifying, Marvin Smith lost control of Wild Hair and hit Bennett Clark's Clydesdale, flipping the truck over. The damage would prove merely cosmetic, as Clark brought the truck back out for a first round win over Spanier. Steve Wilke also had trouble during qualifying, and ran USA-1 into the wall. This was the first win for Holbrook, who would go on to win many races for Gary Cook's Equalizer team in the next couple of years.
