This even also marked the final show for Jesse Birgy's original Play'n for Keeps. Birgy would debut a new truck at Bowling Green, OH later in the year. Dave Wieczorek debuted a new body on his Night Life truck the night before this event.

I believe it was a hauling accident. He drove the truck for a couple weeks after the accident, then realized how much damage there was, and completely rebuilt it, debuting the new one, as you mentioned, at Bowling Green.

according to the info I have this was the first event for Bigfoot VIII on the TNT circuit. That was an erroneous statement on my part in Bigfoot's Wikipedia entry. Bigfoot 8's debut came in Memphis, TN, not Albuquerque as I previously thought.

Not that it really matters, but just in case somebody doesn't realize, Kouvre is talking about the TNT debut for Bigfoot VIII. The truck's actual debut came in '89 in the USHRA, the only one I can think of offhand that was televised was Houston, as well as the earliest '90 event for USHRA in Anaheim. '90 TNT Memphis was, however, the first show with Bigfoot VIII's "racing" paint scheme with the yellow and red.

Dave Weiczoric debuted a whole new truck in Albuqerque. Daves old night life was bought by Ron Pane of Ruckersville VA .Ron raced at the 1990 Stafford springs Ct TNT show later that year, with that old night life truck which he named Pain Crusher. The Pain crusher was yellow. My father brought me to that Stafford show for my birthday on august 4th 1990. I was turning 15 years old. I was there only for the second show wich was on the 4th. That show was breathtaking, with those trucks getting alot of speed on that long course.
