Notes: Dennis Anderson broke an input shaft in qualifying. Seeing King Kong at this show was very unexpected, as the last show it was at was in 1988, at Montgomery, AL. This event featured a new paint scheme for Bennett Clark's Clydesdale, as well as a brand new Play'n for Keeps truck, owned by Jesse Birgy. John Piant was driving Bigfoot IV because Bigfoot VIII was still banned from TNT racing. The track was sticky due to rain the previous day. John Kwasniewski's Buffalo Tremor was not running well because he had to switch from alcohol to gas to meet cubic inch limits set by TNT. Cain's King Kong spit out both the front and rear driveshafts during the quarterfinal win against Dave Wieczorek's Night Life. Scott Stephens beat John Piant in Bigfoot IV because Bigfoot's engine blew, giving King Krunch the win. Stephens would then miss the second set of cars in the next round, disqualifying King Krunch and giving Greg Holbrook and Equalizer an easy trip to the finals.
