Notes: This event took place right after Gary Porter and Carolina Crusher took over the points lead from David Morris' Equalizer. Porter would only hold the lead for a few weeks before relinquishing it to Morris for good. Steve Cain's Awesome Kong gets a free pass into the semifinals after Bob Breen's Wild Hair blows a transmission on the starting line. This was one of the few events Andy Brass and Bigfoot raced in for TNT in 1989. The Bigfoot team essentially took the year off from competitive racing to build Bigfoot VIII, their revolutionary racing truck, which would debut at the end of the year. Bigfoot trucks would, however, show up in many USHRA events in '89.
