Notes: This would be the final TNT appearance for a coupl of trucks, Chuck Poore's Yosemite Sam and Randy Spanier's Bearly Tame. David Morris' Equalizer died at the starting line in the first round, losing to Dennis Anderson's Grave Digger. Jim Miller's Barbarian, with a fresh new engine, beat Rod Litzau's USA-1 in what Army Armstrong called the upset of the year. For the second night in a row, Anderson is disqualified after missing a set of cars. Miller would have to retire for the night after beating John Moore's No Problem due to breaking both the front and rear driveshafts. Moore was disqualified, however, therefore Pablo Cruz, the fast loser from the quarterfinals, was brought back to race in Tuff-E-Nuff. Stephens would win his second straight event, sweeping the Nashville events.
