Notes: Shortly after this show Jeff Dane revamped both Awesome Kong and King Kong for the 1988 season. Awesome Kong was refitted with a 514c.i. Chevy engine and Dane gave up on the 3,000 HP Allison aircraft engine that had worked so well in the flareside Awesome Kong II that almost beat Bigfoot in New Orleans LA, as seen on Return of the Monster Trucks. King Kong was updated minimally and both trucks were painted red. At this time they were both yellow.
