Notes: This was the first event of '89. It did not count for the 1989 points standings. This was a debut event for several trucks, including Dennis Anderson's new Grave Digger, which broke the front suspension in qualifying. Other trucks debuting for TNT at this event were Mark Wheeler's Terraduster, Bill Jones' Rebel's Revenge, Jeff Zimmerman's new Mad Man, which was actually Thunder Chicken, before the truck was repainted, Steve Combs' Knight Stalker, running without the familiar cap on the rear of the truck, and Doug Spanier's new Master of Disaster. This was also the first competitive race for Andy Brass. Andy would go on to win the 1990 TNT points championship with Bigfoot, as well as a couple of PENDA championships in the early 1990's.
