Semifinals:

Finals:

-Litzau flips USA-1
Notes: Dennis Anderson was working on Grave Digger all night. He broke the front driveshaft in qualifying, almost was disqualified in the quarterfinals, and then beat Rod Litzau's USA-1 in the semifinals only to do too much damage to continue. This gave Litzau another chance, which he took advantage of in winning, but flipped the truck over for the 6th time. Around this time, there was alot of tension on the circuit between the veterans and the rookies of TNT. Jon Breen was adament in saying that some of the newer drivers were talking behind his back, which was interesting because Breen's Mad Dog was outdated by many of the trucks on the circuit. In fact, the Mad Dog was by far the oldest frame in use at this event, rivaled most closely by friend Marvin Smith's Stomper, which had been run under the name Crimson Giant prior to '88.
