Date: December, 1989.
Track: Indoors, a 300ft. straight stretch, an inside turn and a set of 8 cars. Finish line is 50ft. past the cars.
Lineup: Fred Shafer (Bearfoot IV), Jack Willman (Taurus III), Andy Brass (Bigfoot VIII), Larry Garvel (Texas Stomper), Don Van Loo (Ram Trax), Eldon Depew (Full Metal Jacket), Dan Dubbs (Bigfoot Fastrax)
Results (Monster Trucks):
Round 1: Willman def. Shafer Brass def. Garvel
Finals: Willman def. Brass -Brass flips Bigfoot
Results(Tanks):
Round 1: Van Loo def. Depew Dubbs bye
Finals: Dubbs def. Van Loo
Grudge Race: Willman def. Dubbs
Notes: Fred Shafer had abandoned the experimental "smooth" tires on Bearfoot IV. Bigfoot VIII was touted as being un-rollable, however in its first appearance ever, Andy Brass rolls it making the u-turn. Full Metal Jacket was so new that it did not have the name on the side. At this time Jack Willman's Taurus was sponsored by Honeycomb cereal. This was touted as the World Finals for USHRA.

This was another example of non-deserving trucks being invited to a "World Finals" event to play fodder to Bearfoot, Bigfoot, and Taurus. Van Loo and Garvel weren't even close to being in the league of their respective competitors. Also, Bigfoot and Taurus brought their respective tanks, why wasn't Bearfoot Trax at this event?

New video footage of this event has surfaced -- the "grudge match" was actually a rematch of BIGFOOT VIII vs. Taurus (they swapped lanes). Taurus won as BIGFOOT seemed to have some sort of steering troubles. Also, this wasn't the debut for BF8. It debuted earlier in the summer and also ran some non-televised TNT events (although those might have taken place after this event because it had a rollbar). This was probably the debut in USHRA, though. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_60-wuSWnpI
