Notes: Scott Hess' Hercules broke a tie rod during his qualifying run, and he did not finish the run. Hess would come back for the first round, but would not run the truck hard. This was one of the few times Bigfoot VI was used outdoors in 1988. Primarily, this truck was driven by Jim Kramer in indoor USHRA events at this time. John Kwasniewski's Buffalo Tremor stalled twice during his first round race with Steve Hess' Nitemare, giving Hess an easy win.
